Hi, I'm joe Curto & I was recently appointed as the Board of Ed Trustee Liason to the PTA. This year will be my 4th as a school board member previously serving from 2004-7. I'm currently a board rep to the Technology Committee, Bld & Grounds Committee, Audit Committee, READ Group as well as the West/Putnam School Boards Association on behalf of Haldane. I've attended the first two PTA meetings this year & hope to make as many if not all as long as my schedule allows. The workings of a public school is very complex and thru the PTA & this blog I hope to clarify some of the complexities we all deal with. There's no substitute for attending a school board meeting, a committee meeting or just listening to a podcast or watching it live on channel 22 thru public access cable. Check back frequently & feel free to post your questions, concerns as well as great Haldane experiences. I'll do my best to help navigate & try to steer you in the right direction. Community engagement is a two way street that works best when all stakeholders participate. joe
